Registration Procedure

Newly admitted students are to come with originals of their relevant credentials to the Institute to be screened and to collect their admission letters. Successfully screened students will be informed of the next steps to follow to complete the registration process. Steps of the registration procedure are normally posted on the notice boards during registration.


At screening, every newly admitted student is required to come with the originals of their relevant credentials to the screening officer including WAEC and/or NECO result scratch card. A student must be aware of the time scheduled for registration and must complete all required steps on or before the final date stipulated.


The Administrative Division of the Institute, headed by the Institute Secretary, is in-charge of all documents relating to Students’ Records. Newly admitted students are required to collect their admission letters from the Institute Secretary being screened by the Registration Officer. Steps of the registration procedure are normally posted on the notice boards during registration. Students must communicate any problems they have (registration, absences from classes, etc.) in writing through the institute secretary.

Payment of Registration Fees

Registration fees once paid are not refundable and these fees are subject to change without notice. The registration fees students pay do not include accommodation.

Late Registration

Programme calendars specify normal and late registration periods. Students who register during the normal registration period will pay the normal registration fees. Students who register during the late registration fees will pay an additional late registration fee. Registration problems due to ill-health, accidents, travel, etc., must be reported in writing to the Director through the Head ITA Unit. Students must report their problems immediately without delay, even if it is through their course mates or any other third party. Student Counseling

Student Advisors are responsible for providing counseling and advisory services to students. Students are strongly advised to discuss their registration, carryover, spillover, repeat and other related matters with their Student Advisor for guidance.


At the moment, there is arrangement to accommodate students on the basis of first come first serve. All students MUST be aware of this and make arrangement for their accommodation in case they could not secure one for which they are personally responsible. The registration fees students pay, therefore, do not include accommodation.

Completion of Registration

A student is regarded as bona fide only when all aspects of the registration procedure (fees payment, course registration, completion of bio-data on the portal, etc.) are completed. It is important to note that any student who fails to register during the registration period is deemed to have voluntarily withdrawn. Students are therefore advised to strictly adhere to registration guidelines and timelines in their own interest. Students will only be allowed to attend classes and write assessment tests or examinations for the courses they registered. Students who fail to register during the late registration period will carry-over the unregistered courses to the following session. Students must pay registration fees for any session within which they take a course.
